Do Good + You 2022 Apparel Donations

With your continuous support and participation in the Benson Wears program, you have contributed to Benson Integrated Marketing Solution’s 2022 apparel donations to make a difference in the community. Thanks to our trusted partners, Benson, the multifamily industry’s first and largest centralized marketing platform (CMP), donated over $285k in apparel donations in 2022 to No Longer Bound and Hightower Association Food & Clothing Bank as a part of the company’s Do Good philanthropy. This waste-free apparel donation represents the company’s latest apparel donation.

In 2016, we launched our Do Good philanthropy program. All our Do Good initiatives follow the fundamentals of these three statements:

  1. Help without expecting anything in return
  2. Make a mark on the world around you
  3. Leave a place better than when you found it

Do Good has been an integral part of the company since its implementation. We donate to charities, sponsor events, or volunteer with local organizations like Make-A-Wish, Easter Seals, and March of Dimes. Putting others first goes beyond our Benson fundamental of serving internal and external partners to shape how we interact with our community. We strive to create an environment where employees can do well alongside their colleagues, friends, and family.

What Happens To Your Returned Apparel?

Benson is pleased to help our clients and local communities by offering an industry-leading clothing donation program. Most of our clients are in the apartment business, which is a business about people helping people. Although donating products as-is would be simple, it could expose clients to risk if their logoed apparel were available to the public, making this apparel donation program unique.

For the past nine years, Benson has donated thousands of apparel pieces every quarter to organizations like the Salvation Army, Goodwill, local orphanages, and homeless shelters. When you order from your company’s wears program, items have a 30-day no-hassle return policy where donation-eligible items are pulled to give to charity.

Our clients will never pay for patches, labor, shipping fees, or the inventory required to be on-hand to support the platform’s customer-centric approach. Benson offers this charitable service at their own cost on behalf of their client partners. This allows clients to rest easy knowing their apparel inventory is in the best of hands and will continue to Do Good long after they have moved on.

Benson Apparel Returns

Many apartment management companies may never consider what happens to their returned apparel.  Benson services over two million apartment units across many companies, each with specific product lines unique to them, including customized apparel. In 2022, Benson processed tens of thousands of apparel orders. Benson apparel lines are used for uniforms, corporate programs, employee stores, employee and investor gifts, property marketing, and more. Common practices that drive apparel returns include:

  • Company rebrands or name changes
  • Client product line selection changes
  • Product size exchanges
  • Discontinued items
  • Employee turnover
  • Company or portfolio mergers, sales, or transitions

Benson clients enjoy a 30-day flexible return and exchange policy, full-service rebrand support, on-hand inventory for quick shipments, and high-quality standards against minor damages. If clients are not satisfied for any reason, they can return their order for an exchange or account credit of the original purchase price – always guaranteed.

You Can Do Good, Too

Benson serves as a facilitator for apartment management companies looking to make donations of pre-purchased new or gently used inventory that they no longer want or need. Our customers can continue to enjoy the benefits of their centralized marketing store, now with the added perk of knowing their apparel returns are being used for good.

“Benson aims to simplify the apartment marketing procurement process. Inventory management is a big part of creating an offering our clients cannot find anywhere else, but running an efficient platform doesn’t have to be wasteful,” said Brian Benson, CEO of Benson Integrated Marketing Solutions. “We’re grateful to be in a position to help our local community and to honor the commitment to our Do Good philanthropy program.”
